We work in a wide range of educational settings across Kent from nurseries and pre-schools to mainstream primary and secondary schools to specialist settings.
We’re very proud of the feedback we get from professionals and parents. We’re happy to put you in touch with other SENCOs to hear about their experiences with us and find out what we’ve done for their pupils.
Here are a few of their words – we make a difference.

“I can’t recommend Sidonie enough – she's been such a great inspiration in our school.”Hear Claire’s review of Speech4Schools:
AQUILA TRUST (Kent)
Aquila Trust has 18 schools across Kent and we work across them for one day a week.
Recognising the need for extra input into speech and language, Chris brought us in to work with all teachers, providing training, guidance and classroom resources.
We visit each school a few times a year, to meet with SENCOS to discuss children who they are concerned about, to give practical advice and strategies for the class teacher to implement to help the children to progress – understanding the language of the classroom and curriculum.
We’ve supported staff with training, classroom ideas and resources, and also helped with interpreting NHS reports and targets for speech and language. Staff now feel more confident with supporting speech sound difficulties and gained lots of practical ideas to use in the future.Ofsted have also commented on staff delivery on speech too, since we came in.

Hear from Antoinette Starmer-Smith – Head of Inclusion, St Nicholas Church Of England Primary Academy, New Romney
Antoinette said: “Sidonie has been the most fabulous resource that we have been able to use, with a fantastic impact on the children. I just can’t recommend her highly enough. The children come away asking when they will see her again!”
Louise Skinner, Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and Safeguarding, Milton Court Primary Academy
“We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding support Zoe from Speech4Schools has provided to Milton Court Primary Academy. Her expertise and dedication have been instrumental in developing our speech and language provision across the school.
Zoe has worked closely with a new member of staff, offering tailored training and ongoing guidance to help them confidently deliver SALT interventions. Her support has empowered our new SALT TA to make a meaningful impact across multiple year groups.
In addition, Zoe has provided invaluable advice for in-class strategies in our nursery, helping staff better support children’s communication needs. Her input has also been key in shaping our new enhanced provision, ensuring it is inclusive and responsive to the needs of all learners.
Zoe’s professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge have made a real difference to our team and the children we support. We look forward to continuing this fantastic partnership.”
Miss A Haddaway, Senco, Whitehill Primary School
"This report is great - thank you! He's made so much progress, it's lovely to see this written down!"
Kate Doerr, SENDCo at Shorne Primary School
"Thanks for sending across such detailed reports so promptly. I really do appreciate that and all the hard work you put in."
Staff at Canterbury Road Primary School
"I found Zoe's training very useful. It helped me to appreciate the frustrations and challenges that children with S&L difficulties have and how they may present. It was also useful to experience some of those challenges myself by taking part in the activities that Zoe asked us to try.
I have more understanding of reflexive questions and what to ask a child if their attention needs redirecting to the task. For example, rather than telling them what they should be doing, ask them what should we be doing now.
The clarification around different terminology really hit home for me. It's all fairly logical but for some reason until it was pointed out I can't say that I'd given it much thought. Better understanding the breakdown of the elements of speech will undoubtably help me to explain my concerns when appropriate as well as target questions to help me better understand the challenge to be overcome.
I found that Zoe gave a wonderfully detailed training presentation. I now have a much better understanding of using reflexive questioning, note writing and changing the use of my language when speaking to children with language difficulties. I have now put this training into practice and can see how effective it is.
Zoe's training was extremely helpful. Her real life examples (beans on toast activity) made me very aware of the difficulties that some children may have during the school day. She was able to then give us clear tips of how to best help these children, for example, through the use of reflexive questions and note taking."
