How We Can Help Your School Setting

We know budgets are stretched, and that’s why we offer a range of services from a one-off assessment visit to more regular support in your school setting.

We have an ever-growing team of therapists, all of whom are passionate about what we do and love making a difference in schools every single day.

Our core services are listed below. If you have a specific question or support need, please contact us. Every school and every child is unique, and we tailor our approach to ensure the best results are achieved for your pupils and children.

Assessments and Target Setting – We will come in to assess any pupils you are concerned about. Our assessment reports enable immediate and impactful help, without an NHS waiting list, by creating an in-school and at-home therapy plan. We’ll help you set clear, achievable, measurable targets for the child, and we will provide and demonstrate a support programme. Your staff can liaise regularly with our therapists to keep them informed of the child’s progress, targets can be updated easily, and new resources can be provided if necessary.

Training Packages – We offer a range of training support videos that can be utilised by all members of your staff, including teachers, teaching assistants, support staff, breakfast and afterschool club teams, and lunchtime supervisors. All our training is made accessible for any member of your team. We believe it’s important that everyone who comes into contact with the children in your setting can support their speech and communication needs.

Bespoke Training – Training packages can be built for your specific staff needs, including teachers, TAs and lunchtime supervisors, which will promote a holistic approach that encourages SLCN development inside and outside the classroom. We can provide training on dates and at times to suit your school, including staff development days, and after school.

Resources - We’ll show you how to use your existing school resources for SLCN interventions, and we can also recommend new resources. Members of staff should feel fully prepared and have everything they need to offer the child quality therapy without delay.

Regular Therapy Sessions - For children with SLCN and/or an EHCP, we can come into school regularly and work directly to develop speech and language in line with their learning topics. We always suggest TAs get involved and observe, so they feel skilled at supporting any carry-over work in school. Many schools ask for specific pieces of work, such as therapy blocks for their SLCN children with EHCPs.

Help with Paperwork and Applications - Our professional reports and evidence can help support SENCos with a wide range of applications and onward referrals, e.g. for High Needs Funding or EHCPs.

One-off Consultative Meeting – We can meet to review your SLCN pupils’ needs, providing expert advice on which pupils might benefit from being grouped together and the style of support to give.

Parent Sessions - to help families find out how easily they can bring speech and language into everyday situations at home...and see results!

Ongoing Support - We can be on-hand to help as little or often as you need. Some schools invite us in for a couple of days a year, and others we visit weekly.

We are always here to help with any SLCN query, at any time.

What our clients say about us

"I found that Zoe gave a wonderfully detailed training presentation. I now have a much better understanding of using reflexive questioning, note writing and changing the use of my language when speaking to children with language difficulties. I have now put this training into practice and can see how effective it is." Staff at Canterbury Road Primary School
